Graduating with a Bachelor of Architecture, Turner worked for respected architectural practices in Australia before crossing over to the film industry to explore his passion for film, filmed architecture and production design.
Turner’s film career includes set designs for the Best Art Direction Oscar winning
MOULIN ROUGE! and the Best Art Direction Oscar nominated ANNA and the KING.
Turner art directed THE KITE RUNNER and AUSTRALIA, both recognised for their design excellence and THE GREAT GATSBY which was honoured with the Academy Award for Best Production Design.
MORTAL KOMBAT, which was art directed by Turner,
won Best Production Design for a Feature Film at the AACTA Awards.
I AM WOMAN, which Turner production designed, was nominated for
Best Production Design for a Feature Film at the AACTA Awards.
THE NEW YORK TIMES declared ' ..the 1960's - 80's production design is impeccable.'
The prestigious ARCHITECTURAL DIGEST also celebrated the art of Turner's design.
Turner recently designed SAHELA, directed by Raghuvir Joshi and produced by Dev Patel.
